Good Handwriting

Good handwriting is one of those things which defines us. It represents our personality in ways that we may not realize. Each person’s handwriting is different. That is why handwriting experts are usually called on when there is a crime committed and some handwriting needs to be analyzed. Everyone who knows how to write has their own unique handwriting.

We learn how to create handwriting when we are kids. We first start out in school learning how to print because printing is the easiest. Children’s handwriting looks unpolished and messy at first but as the years progress and a child has more control over the pencil or pen it gets neater and neater. They begin to learn cursive handwriting at the end of middle school.

Good handwriting is highly praised in school and some classes even have a special category on the report card for handwriting. People who get A’s in handwriting are said to have the best handwriting in the class, but that is often subjective. There is more to handwriting than just receiving a good grade in school on it.

Your handwriting is something that tells others about you without you needing to verbalize anything about your personality. If you are a messy person you may also have messy handwriting. If your handwriting is neat, you could live an orderly life. These are just a few examples. If you would like to learn more about your handwriting and what it could mean about you, there are plenty of handwriting analysis books or you could take it to a handwriting expert to analyze.

Of course, it is possible to improve your handwriting if you are not happy with it. You do not need to content yourself with messy handwriting. You could always change things. Just as you learned how to write in school, you can undo some of the bad habits you may have picked up along the way. For example, some people’s handwriting changes in college because they need to write quickly in order to take effective notes. One way to prevent this is to bring your laptop to class or work hard to not let your note-taking handwriting affect the rest of your writing. Handwriting is interesting and it can tell a lot about you. Remember that you can change it if you are not happy with your handwriting.
